Awards

The Annual Award competition for Best Financial Communication is an annual quality review for and by experts of the (international) financial community, under the auspices of EFFAS Benelux. Prior to its expansion to the Netherlands and Luxembourg, the competition provided a balanced and quantified evaluation of the financial communication practices of a selection of Belgian listed companies. In the coming years, we will extend the scope of our awards ceremony to include these neighbouring countries.

For 2025, the overall winner of the Award for Best Financial Communication is Solvay.
The next edition of the Awards ceremony will take place on 19 November 2026, at ING Brussels, hosted by Solvay. 

The company with the highest overall score wins the Award for Best Financial Communication. We survey the following key aspects:

  • Non-financial Information (like products and services, strategy, ESG, risks…)
  • Financial Information (like Press Releases, Financial Statements and Notes…)
  • Investor Relations

We grant 4 sub-Awards:

  • Best Forward Looking Information
  • Best Investor Relations
  • Best Mid & Small Cap
  • Yearly rotating Award:
    – 2025: Best Communication on non-IFRS metrics
    – 2024: Best Communication on Consensus Forecasts
    – 2023: Best Communication on Financial Debt
    – 2022: organization of the Best Capital Markets Day
    – 2021: Best Holding / Investment Company
    – 2020: the Best Market & Competitive Information

Why this Award?

With the Award for Best Financial Communication we reward the Belgian listed companies and small and mid-caps that stand out in terms of communication with the financial community. Our main goal is to encourage companies to keep investing in good quality information and communication.

The importance of the Awards can hardly be underestimated given its long-track record. In 2025 we will celebrate the Award’s 65th anniversary!

How to participate?

We welcome both companies and analysts to participate at the Awards Procedure. The survey typically runs from June to September and spans the preceding 12-month period. The results are made public in October and the Awards are represented during the EFFAS Benelux Awards Ceremony.
